Digital Invites
Going paperless is a great way to save money, and digital wedding invitations can be as lovely as their physical counterparts.
With the right approach and attention to detail, you can create all the panache of a traditional invitation at a significantly lower cost.
You will receive the digital invite as a pdf and jpg file to share with your guests.
However, if you’re still set on having physical invites for your immediate family, why not do both?
Curated by Studio A has a minimum of 20 physical invites per design.

*RSVP 1 – 2 months after the send date – allow enough time to hand out invitations and receive rsvps in order to plan seating charts and on-the-day stationery.
*PLEASE NOTE:
– Curated by Studio A will be closed for the month of December and the first week of January. Please get in touch timeously regarding all stationery orders.
– Queries made during this period will be responded to once the studio reopens in the 2nd week of Jan. Subsequently, no orders will be processed during this period.

Once you’ve filled out the Questionnaire, please message me on WhatsApp and let’s go through your ideas, the number of invites you require, the budget per invite, colour schemes, number of inserts and all the nitty gritty details. This way, I can give you some guidance on what we can do with your budget based on what you need.
QUOTATION
Once I have an idea of your requirements, I will draw up a formal quotation for you. A 70% deposit is required before processing the order. Once the proof of payment is received, we are ready to start with your order.
DESIGN AND PRODUCTION
You will be offered 3 rounds of changes once a draft has been made up which is part of the design fee (this will be added to your invoice). Thereafter, you will incur an additional cost of R150 per round of changes. If you are not happy with any of the 3 designs provided after 3 rounds of changes, this additional incurred cost will fall into place.
*Valid for printed and digital invitations as well as all other design work.
All artwork will need to be proof read by the client before printing or processing.
Any spelling or grammar changes after approval might not be changed.

A NOTE ON WEDDING STATIONERY:
• Save the date cards can be sent out as early as a year from your wedding date.
• Local wedding invitations should be sent to your guests 2-3 months in advance of your wedding.
• Invitations for destination weddings should be sent to your guests three months in advance of your wedding.
We do not recommend you to send out your formal wedding invitations (not save the dates) more than 8 months before hand, this is because they can get lost, and maybe your preferences concerning the friends or family that you want to invite will change.
Studio A takes 2-4 weeks to process wedding invitation orders once a design has been finalized and a deposit has been paid, keep this in mind when looking at timelines.
We do suggest ordering more invitations than necessary for those last-minute additional guests (trust us on this one), as well as an extra invitation to keep as a souvenir for the bridal couple and one for the photographer to capture. Once the invitation process has started, any additional invitations requested will be charged for at a surplus rate.
COUNT YOUR HOUSEHOLDS
You don’t need an invitation for every guest. Take a look at your guest list and figure out how many houses need invitations before you confirm your numbers – Cohabiting couples get one invitation; for couples living apart, you can either send one invite to the guest you’re closer with, or you can send out separate invitations. Families get one invitation (addressed to “The Smith Family,” for example).
TRIPLE-CHECK THE PROOF
Before your invitation order is printed, we will send you a proof (a digital design of the invite mock-up). You’d be surprised at the things you may miss (pay special attention to details like wedding date and time and spelling). Borrow a tip from copy editors and read the proof word for word (to yourself and aloud!) from right to left so you don’t accidentally gloss over any mistakes.
DON’T FORGET THE REST OF YOUR SUITE
Order your menus, programs and thank-you notes with your invitations. That way, we can include all of the pieces in one order, which may save you money and time. It’s also a good way to ensure all your stationery has a cohesive look, even if you want to vary the design slightly for each element (by switching the dominant colour or alternating between two patterns, for example). Also, don’t forget those little items like favour tags and welcome bag notes or stickers.
- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -
Once the full payment is settled and I have received your proof of payment, you may collect from our pick-up point in Blackheath, Johannesburg. Alternatively, Curated by Studio A uses a local courier company for courier around JHB and Postnet for couriers around South Africa. All courier costs will need to be paid for in full.
If you require overnight shipping or shipping for bigger orders, this will need to be arrangedas prices vary on the package size and weight.
You are welcome to come through and have an in person meeting for orders more than 50 invites upon request. Meetings should be between 45 mins – 1 hour long.
A consultation fee of R400.00 will be required prior to the meeting.
Please keep your mask on at a times. Sanitizer will be provided.
You are welcome to view samples of previously designed invitations, I have a wide range of swatches and samples for you to play around with and get a feel for the actual invitation.
Unfortunately, I do not make custom made samples for bespoke invitation designs.
It will take 2 – 4 weeks from the date of proof of payment and approval.
All bespoke designs are subject to a design fee. This fee is for the time it takes to conceptualize, research and eventually create you a one of a kind design. Naturally perfection takes time, so all bespoke designs might require a few rounds to perfect. Design time gets calculated based on the intricacy of the job and is charged per hour. The more intricate the design the more hours will be required. When adding additional items to your order they will require designing too and will thus be subject to a design fee.
We totally sympathize with your need to receive your invitations or stationery as soon as possible! Our rush service allows us to ship within 7 business days from payment and approval for an additional rush fee. This fee covers our team working after hours to produce your order.
